Law Practice |
|
Nathaniel Cade, Jr. is an associate
in the Milwaukee office practicing in litigation. He
enjoys a broad base of understanding in a number of
substantial legal areas. Mr. Cade has a particularly
deep experience in products and premises liability,
personal injury defense, construction law, insurance
defense and real estate litigation. He has been
involved in numerous trials, mediations and arbitrations
throughout Wisconsin. Mr. Cade also has lectured on
products liability, ethics, environmental law and
construction insurance law. Mr. Cade was appointed by
the State Bar President to a position on the State Bar's
Professional Ethics Committee.

|
Representative Experience |
|
Mr. Cade has first-chaired almost a
dozen bench and jury trials. He has counseled numerous
clients on limiting their liability exposure. As an
example, Mr. Cade represented a toy store that had
significant liability due to a personal injury claim.
The injured party had an extremely rare medical
condition, which required her hospitalization for
several years following the injury. After researching
the medical condition and forcing her medical expert to
admit lack of causation on certain issues, Mr. Cade
negotiated a mutually beneficial settlement. Mr. Cade
also represented a fast-food corporation against a
premises-liability claim in which the corporation had
potential exposure in excess of $1,500,000. He
vigorously defended the claim and helped negotiate the
settlement to $325,000. Mr. Cade also represented a
school district in a wrongful death claim where he
briefed the winning motion to dismiss. Mr. Cade also
regularly represents restaurants, gas stations and other
commercial enterprises on their premises liability
claims. In addition, he has litigated numerous claims
against insurers on behalf of corporate policyholders.
He also has defended numerous E&O claims against client
architectural firms.
